I’ve just launched Think. Feel. Write. Studies show that expressive or reflective writing can help us find direction, reduce stress, and have both short- and long-term health benefits. Visit the site to find out more.

I’m writing every day, journaling privately, making notes on the world, etc. All writerly stuff, but in a world that seems to revolve around sharing, not everything has to be, or should be.

I’m preparing for the new academic year with the Royal Literary Fund. I’ll be the RLF Writing Fellow at De Montfort University one day a week, and an Advisory Fellow, mentoring some of the RLF’s new intake. I love my work with the RLF.

I’m working with a couple of writers I know on an idea for an anthology about masculinity in the 21st century. When the idea’s firmed up we’ll submit an Arts Council England application for funding.

I’m reading a lot. Books such as Anything You Want… by Derek Sivers (as a result of which I created this now page), and Rework: Change the Way You Work Forever by Jason Fried and David Hansson. I’ve also enjoyed Between the Stops… by Sandi Toksvig, and the books on creativity by Austin Kleon.
